Usually on the
August 1 long weekend Filberg Park would be filled with artists selling their
wares along with music performed at a couple of shady venues. But with Covid
19, everything is different. But Filberg Park is hosting Artisan's Pop Up Markets on
weekends in July and August so since we had visitors for the August long
weekend we decided to check it out. The Filberg Lodge and Park is great anytime
of the year but you really appreciate the shade when and ocean breezes given
the heat wave we are currently in. We dropped in on Saturday, July 31 with my
brother Bruce and his wife Mary Ellen who were visiting from Victoria and 4 artists had their
works on display next to the Lodge. Below Mary Ellen checks out the pottery display by Cathi Jefferson.
The summer kitchen was also open and you could get tours of the lodge as well that my brother and his wife took advantage of since they had never been inside this amazing wooden structure.
